Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Account Representative/Collector/Biller to handle billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts. You will contact patients and payors to resolve balances and submit claims electronically or on paper, while reconciling receivables and completing the Medicare Bad Debt Log.

This role is within Universal Health Services, a large healthcare provider with facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year experience in insurance billing and CPT coding.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital business office is acceptable.
• Experience with billing, computers, and business software (Excel) is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Bill, follow up, and collect on assigned patient accounts.
• Contact patients, insurance companies, and third‑party payors to resolve balances.
• Submit claims electronically or in hardcopy.
• Reconcile receivables and contractuals from payors.
• Complete the monthly Medicare Bad Debt Log accurately.
