Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System is seeking a Biller/Collector to oversee daily collection operations for hospital payments and UB04 claim billing in Desoto County, MS. The role includes insurance follow-ups, payment postings backups, and verification tasks within a compassionate health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Three or more years of general accounting/collection experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Hospital medical billing experience required.
• Knowledge of collections, hospital insurance billing, general accounting and working with computer systems are required.

Responsibilities

• The daily operations of the collection department.
• Bill UB04 claims to insurance companies.
• Follow-up on claims billed to the insurance.
• Back-up for payment posting, deposit preparation and insurance verification.
