Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Report Developer II to design, develop, and test enterprise reports, dashboards, and BI data models for clinical and business needs. You will work with analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions and ensure governance, security, and data quality across the reporting lifecycle.

The role requires expertise in BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), SQL, ETL, and experience with healthcare data sources.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a data-focused role handling data analysis, integration, and reporting for clinical and business operations.
• 3+ years experience with report creation using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, plus knowledge of data visualization principles.
• 2+ years experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years experience with ETL processes, including data extraction and loading.
• 1+ years experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, DAX, Power Query) to build custom reporting solutions.
• 3+ years experience with healthcare enterprise data sources and enterprise dashboards.
• 1+ years experience with version control systems (Azure DevOps/GitHub).
• 2+ years experience with Epic EMR reporting tools: Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar Dashboards, Clarity/Caboodle, Cogito SQL.

Responsibilities

• Leads requirement analysis sessions with stakeholders and designs scalable reporting solutions.
• Develops ETL programs to import data for ad hoc reporting.
• Maintains documentation and uses version control for traceability.
• Writes and tests complex queries to support reporting needs and optimize performance.
• Performs QA testing and leads UAT to validate reports before production release.
• Maintains and optimizes reporting platforms and supports multiple database types.
• Participates in code reviews and adheres to deployment guidelines.
• Implements governance controls such as dataset certification and row-level security.
