Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA, is hiring a Building Automation Technician to develop and program BAS, monitor life-safety systems, and integrate security devices across the environment of care. The role supports fire detection, access control, and video surveillance within an acute care hospital setting.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in BAS, an associate degree or technical training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience working with BAS in healthcare or similar complex environment.
• Experience with life safety interfaces (fire alarm, emergency power) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; MA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating parameters and sequencing for BAS, HVAC, and electrical building systems.
• Program, monitor, maintain, and integrate fire safety and security systems.
• Respond to alarms and environmental excursions in a timely manner.
• Interpret control drawings and sequence-of-operations documents.
• Communicate with Facilities, Safety, IT, and clinical leadership; document changes.
