Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr. BAS Service Technician to support building automation and energy management across Northern Massachusetts and the Greater Boston area.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining BAS/BMS and HVAC controls with an emphasis on customer service and independent work. The ideal candidate has strong HVAC knowledge, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with BACnet/Modbus; Tridium Niagara experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing BAS/BMS, DDC controls, or HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and control sequences.
• Able to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with BACnet and Modbus protocols.
• Niagara experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain BAS/BMS and HVAC controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service calls at commercial facilities.
• Diagnose issues with DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot networks, control sequences, alarms, and system performance.
• Assist with BAS programming, controller configuration, graphics, and adjustments.
• Service HVAC equipment including air handlers, rooftops, VAVs, boilers, and chillers.
• Analyze trends and operating data to identify performance issues and improvements.
• Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers; maintain documentation.
