Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to monitor, operate and maintain BAS equipment across mission-critical environments. You will handle alarms, tenant calls and system adjustments to keep facilities performing at peak efficiency.

The role requires 6+ years in BAS monitoring/DCd controls with strong documentation and safety practices, working on HVAC and building controls. Applicants must be able to obtain required clearances and work under union guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6+ years of BAS monitoring and DDC experience.
• Ability to read sequences of operations, technical docs and specs.
• Troubleshoot basic wiring, control logic and end devices.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, networks and safety practices.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely near voltage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, test and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on BAS systems.
• Respond to tenant calls and alarms; log issues and take corrective action.
• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and re-program BAS components.
• Develop and follow maintenance programs with Lead/Manager for reliability.
• Comply with contract documents and company standards; document results.
