Responsibilities

• Track and maintain accounts receivable by aging categories.
• Review third-party credits and determine adjustments, refunds, or recoups.
• Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and staff to resolve claim reimbursements.
• Manage secondary balances and denied/unpaid claims past deadlines.
• Apply policies for charity care, discounts, and adjustments.
• Record account history in systems within timeframes.
• Prepare reports on accounts receivable trends.
• Follow regulations and internal policies; ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with patients, providers, insurers.
• Identify and suggest improvements to billing workflows and claims processes.
