Job summary

Optum is seeking a strategic insight leader within National Performance to shape how Care at Home measures success, communicates performance, and drives value-based care outcomes.

The ideal candidate blends operational credibility with analytical excellence, translating data into executive-ready narratives that influence strategic decisions and enterprise results. Remote work is supported across the U.S., with in-office days required four days weekly for Minneapolis or Washington, DC areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, healthcare analytics, strategy, performance management, operations, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience within Care at Home, home-based care, managed care, population health, care management, or a related healthcare environment.
• Experience analyzing operational and business performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and root causes.
• Experience creating executive presentations, dashboards, scorecards, and business reviews.
• Experience leveraging data from Power BI, Tableau, DOMO or other data visualization tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated understanding of value-based care principles and performance drivers.
• Demonstrated solid data storytelling capabilities with the ability to translate analysis into executive-level decision-ready insights and recommendations.
• Demonstrated solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational, clinical, financial, utilization, affordability, and member performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
• Transform quantitative analysis into compelling data stories that clearly communicate key findings, business implications, and recommended actions
• Develop executive-ready presentations, business reviews, dashboards, and performance narratives for senior leaders
• Create consistent messaging that translates performance results to strategic priorities and organizational goals
• Contribute to continuous improvement of executive reporting, performance management tools, and business review processes
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational context and ensure performance findings are meaningful and actionable
• Partner with reporting and analytics teams to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and analytical capabilities
