Job summary

Privia Health seeks a Healthcare Analytics Engineer to bridge raw healthcare data with business operations. You will design data models, blend payer and EMR data, and empower teams with scalable analytics infrastructure.

Responsibilities include building production data models, executing fast SQL queries, and standardizing metrics across operations and VBC performance. Collaboration with IT, Clinical support, and Payer Relations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Healthcare Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or BI in provider groups, health systems, payer, or health tech.
• Strong experience with payer claims data and EMR/clinical data (Athenahealth, Epic, Cerner).
• Advanced SQL skills: complex queries, multi-table joins, CTEs, window functions, optimization.
• Experience with dbt, Python/Pandas, Git, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or MS SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Value-Based Care metrics, risk scores/HCC, and quality metrics.
• Proven ability to operate in an agile, fast-paced environment with stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-ready data models and semantic layers for enterprise reporting.
• Ingest and blend payer claims, attribution rosters, quality extracts, EMR data, and operational logs.
• Execute ad-hoc SQL analyses to answer operational, clinical, and financial questions.
• Define and standardize core business metrics across domains and track VBC performance.
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, Clinical Support, Payer Relations to translate needs into technical logic.
• Perform automated data validation and optimize data warehouse queries.
• Act as SME on data structures, workflows, and payer data layouts for non-technical teams.
• Document data models, logic, and pipelines; ensure transparency across analytics landscape.
