Job summary

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, a platform spanning the care journey from ambient AI and dictation to intelligent agents and autonomous RCM processing, all integrated with 60+ EHRs. The role offers Summer 2027 software engineering internships to work on real problems, learn from exceptional engineers, and ship software that clinicians, administrators, and patients rely on daily.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Expected graduation in 2028
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, Dart, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React, and native mobile platforms
• Exposure to PostgreSQL, Redis, cloud object storage, Kubernetes, containers, distributed queues, and data processing pipelines
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excitement about building products that solve real-world problems

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship features across frontend, backend, mobile, or infrastructure
• Build APIs and services that power clinical and administrative workflows
• Develop AI-powered experiences using LLMs and machine learning technologies
• Build intuitive user experiences for clinicians, administrators, and patients
• Work with healthcare data and integrations across complex systems
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of production services
• Instrument your work with metrics, logging, and monitoring
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and debugging
• Collaborate closely with product, design, data/ML, infrastructure, and clinical teams
• Learn how software moves from an idea → to code → to production → to real-world impact
