Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Administrative & Operational intern to support multiple site and system Administration departments and Operations, gaining exposure to clinical research and academic environments.

The intern will seek and lead substantial studies across the system, aligning business objectives with management and teams, while the department defines specific job standards for the role.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Enrolled in a regional accredited college/university.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and initiatives.
• Join the work unit rotation and use internal/external resources to accomplish goals.
• Develop healthcare management skills across physicians and staff.
• Describe and integrate functions across practice, education, and research.
• Pursue process improvements and patient care enhancements using data and analysis.
• Meet leadership to discuss fellowship progress and report on projects.
• Assist in system strategic planning and program development.
• Assist in managing databases and data inputs.
• Contribute to development of programs, processes or applications.
• Prepare information and research materials and maintain presentations.
