Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an Administrative & Operational internship in the Greater Winston-Salem area. The role runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, at up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri during business hours, on-site.

Interns will gain exposure to system administration, clinical research, and organizational strategy. The position requires current enrollment in a healthcare leadership or related program, junior/senior standing, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in healthcare leadership, administration, public health, management, nonprofit management, or related field with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5 is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to progress of initiatives.
• Integrate with work unit to carry out assigned tasks within the rotation.
• Identify resources to accomplish goals and maintain data and records.
• Assist in development of system-wide processes and presentations.
• Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to improve patient care and operations.
