Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an Administrative & Operational Internship based in the Rock Hill area. The role runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours.

It is an on-site internship with exposure to multiple departments within Advocate Health. Interns will gain first-hand experience in healthcare administration, project management, data collection and analysis, and process improvement, under supervision by a leadership team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Healthcare Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Management, Nonprofit Management, Data Analytics, or a related field with freshman, sophomore, junior or senior standing as of Fall 2027.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with accuracy.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Intern will help manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to progress and sponsor needs.
• Join the work unit team to carry out assigned tasks and use internal/external resources.
• Help build healthcare management skills by collaborating with physicians, administrators and staff across Advocate Health.
• Support systems alignment across practice, education, research, inpatient/outpatient settings, and hiring/training processes.
• Seek ways to improve processes and outcomes, applying data collection, analysis, and improvement methods.
