Elevance Health is offering an Actuarial Intern position for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. The 12-week, full-time program runs May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with summer housing provided.

Interns will participate in meaningful actuarial projects, gain exposure to industry practices, and present their findings at the program’s end. Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant BA/BS program and able to work on-site 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or other related degree.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (5/17/27-8/6/27) on-site at our Indianapolis, IN PulsePoint.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful actuarial projects across business areas, including healthcare cost analysis and trend projection, valuation, risk quantification, and health insurance pricing, while applying analytical skills to real healthcare challenges.
• Develop and strengthen your technical, analytical, communication, and business skills.
• Learn directly from actuarial professionals, leaders, and senior management.
• Gain exposure to the practical application of actuarial methods, tools, and processes at Elevance Health.
• Participate in educational sessions, discussion panels, and other opportunities to learn more about the healthcare industry and Elevance Health.
• Connect with fellow interns and colleagues through networking, social, and volunteer events.
• Present a key project and your findings at the conclusion of the internship.
