Job summary

Milliman’s Seattle healthcare practice is seeking a summer intern to work with consulting actuaries on actuarial models for pricing and forecasting. This 12-week, onsite internship in Seattle runs May 2027–August 2027, offering mentorship and hands-on exposure to healthcare actuarial work.

You will analyze healthcare data, assist with research and marketing projects, and prepare presentations for staff and clients. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field.
• Completion of one or more SOA exams.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare data and produce reports using spreadsheets and databases.
• Assist with research and marketing projects.
• Prepare presentations for Milliman staff and clients.
• Participate in trainings with experienced actuaries and partners in the firm.
