Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance in Chicago offers a 12-week Summer 2027 Actuarial Data Intern program. You will be a valued team member, gaining exposure to meaningful, real-life actuarial work.

The internship provides guidance from actuaries pursuing CAS exams, competitive pay, and a collaborative, relaxed culture that supports rapid decision making. You will support actuarial teams, standardize ad-hoc processes, develop data pipelines, and use multiple applications to answer questions with accuracy

Qualifications

• Passed at least one Actuarial Exam strongly preferred.
• Excel experience required.
• Interest in insurance industry.
• Knowledge of actuarial exam process.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the different Actuarial teams.
• Standardize ad hoc processes and drive continuous improvement for automating and optimizing performance of ongoing processes, including development of data processing pipelines.
• Use a variety of applications and technologies to answer simple and complex questions.
• Other duties as assigned.
