Job summary

Sentara Health, based in the Hampton Roads region, seeks an Accounting Coordinator to join its healthcare finance team. The role covers cash management, receivables, reconciliations, and month-end processes while maintaining accurate records in a large healthcare organization.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, support audit preparation, and ensure compliance with internal controls and healthcare finance standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Process and reconcile cash-related transactions, deposits, adjustments, and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation to ensure integrity of financial information.
• Perform routine account reconciliations and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies within the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation by gathering required documentation and supporting financial reporting requests.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and healthcare finance standards.
