Sentara Health is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join its healthcare finance team in Virginia. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across cash management, receivables, reconciliations, and month‑end processes while supporting a large healthcare organization.

The role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with audits, month‑end close, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting. Remote work options are available within designated regions.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in accounting, finance or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Process and reconcile cash‑related transactions, deposits, adjustments, and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation to ensure integrity of financial information.
• Perform routine account reconciliations and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies within the general ledger.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation by gathering required documentation and supporting financial reporting requests.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and healthcare finance standards.
• Partner with internal departments, finance teams, and external vendors to resolve questions, research discrepancies, and support efficient financial operations.
