Job summary

Westside Family Healthcare is seeking Enrollment Specialists to help patients access affordable healthcare through Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace programs. You will educate clients, assist with applications, and navigate state and federal enrollment processes across Delaware.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience using the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish or English and another language spoken by a majority of our patient population.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to travel between work locations, including outreach events.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patients needing access to financial support for health care services, including the Health Insurance Marketplace.
• Educate clients on program eligibility and the enrollment process for Medicaid, CHIP, Marketplace, and other financial assistance programs.
• Explain health programs and connect patients with resources for enrollment.
• Assist with program applications, gather required documentation, and liaison with program administrators.
• Complete Certified Application Counselor or Navigator training during initial period and maintain annually thereafter.
• Prepare timely, detailed reports for patient activities and outreach events.
• Protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
• Travel statewide for outreach events, typically 2–4 times per month.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Develop knowledge of local health care and social service resources.
• Provide information on primary and preventive care during interactions and outreach.
