Job summary

The YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Program Director for the Copley-Price Family YMCA in San Diego. The role entails developing, delivering, and administering a designated program, while recruiting and supervising staff and engaging volunteers to drive program success.

Responsibilities include budgeting, marketing, and coordinating facility operations; ensuring licensing and ACA compliance. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 2+ years in program management.

Qualifications

• Develops and manages assigned departments/programs; ensures growth, safety, and innovation.
• Oversees marketing, registration, and operations of facilities.
• Implements regular site visits for observation and evaluation.
• Controls department budgets and ensures year-end outcomes.
• Ensures licensing and health department requirements are met.
• Recruits, trains, supervises staff and develops their capabilities.
• Fosters an environment of motivation, recognition, and teamwork.
• Bi-annual staff performance evaluations.
• Liaises for the Annual Current Support Campaign recruitment.
• Represents the Branch in the community with groups and coalitions.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop assigned team.
• Oversee engagement and recruitment of volunteers for the program.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, ACA requirements, and health department rules.
• Manage budgeting and reporting for the department.
