Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide exceptional customer service and leadership to members and participants across the program scope. The coordinator will supervise fewer than 19 staff and support multiple programs with administrative duties.

Schedule requires some evening and weekend availability, with about 10 hours per week of admin work and 5–10 hours of coaching/teaching. The role emphasizes safety, recruitment, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in customer service.
• Previous supervisor experience, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and monitoring.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire from a recognized organization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the organization and implementation of program details.
• Assist in purchasing and reconciliation of program expenses.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring of program staff and volunteers.
• Provide office support and perform other related duties as needed.
• Maintain participant data and oversee program registration.
• Ensure safety and address program concerns per YMCA standards.
