Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Sports Coordinator to supervise and coordinate youth and adult sports programming at the Copley-Price Family YMCA in San Diego. You will recruit, train, manage, and supervise volunteers and staff, and help develop leagues and clinics.

You will promote league participation, create schedules and rosters, and collaborate with districts and partners to grow programming while ensuring safety and quality of instruction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a sports setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for volunteers and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of youth and adult sports programs, including volunteer training and supervision, league promotion and outreach, scheduling, coaching, and coordination.
• Assist in development and implementation of youth and adult leagues in partnership with internal and external organizations.
• Perform high-volume data entry for program registrations.
• Develop schedules, rosters, and other league-related materials.
• Coordinate seasonal parent, team, and coaches’ packets and meetings.
• Work with school districts, vendors, schools, partners and branches to promote programs.
