Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to organize non-nursing functions, facilitate workflow, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• If no formal education, at least 1 year of hospital/clinic experience.

Job Description:

This position plans, organizes, and implements the non-nursing functions of assigned unit(s) to facilitate workflow, enhance unit productivity, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff. Position promotes efficient unit function and indirect resident care. Performs clerical and reception duties; requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed; and other duties as assigned. Will need to stock supplies at times

Preferred candidates will have experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist.
