Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI, is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support patient flow on a dedicated patient care unit. You will manage admissions, rounds, chart maintenance in EPIC, and act as a liaison with patients, families and care teams.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, solid computer and office skills, and strong communication. Healthcare experience and medical terminology knowledge are preferred; training is provided to support growth.

Qualificações

• High School diploma required.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
• Graduate of a Medical Office Professional course or completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Health Unit Coordinator Course or commensurate experience preferred.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Remains flexible for 24-hour staffing and scheduling needs across inpatient units.

• Establishes relationships with patients, families, and health care teams.
• Facilitates admissions, discharges, and daily care per Covenant guidelines.
• Attends unit conferences, mandatory education, and ongoing competencies.
• Supports patient care by recording admissions/transfers and updating EPIC charts.
• Maintains unit appearance, supplies, and patient education materials.
• Monitors regulatory checks, chart accuracy, and billing-related entries.
