Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to support patient care teams by coordinating admissions, transfers and discharges, and by organizing patient charts and related documentation. The role includes scheduling tests, assisting with insurance forms, and serving as a liaison among staff, patients, and families.

The HUC will help ensure smooth unit operations, manage data, and maintain an orderly work environment in a fast‑paced hospital setting.

• Answer and screen incoming telephone calls, take messages, and relay physician orders, test results, and patient status updates.
• Act as a liaison between medical staff, patients, and families, answering administrative questions.
• Ensure unit operations run smoothly by managing data and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
• Record and relay information between patients, families, and the medical team.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) – Full Time, Days
