Job summary

Edgewood Spring Creek Eagle Island, an Edgewood Healthcare community in Eagle, ID, is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator on a full-time basis to support the clinical schedule and ensure smooth communication among residents, families, and staff.

You will help maintain the employee schedule, document progress, and uphold HIPAA compliance while providing compassionate, efficient care in an Assisted Living and Memory Care setting. Experience mentoring staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years clinical experience, required.
• Experience in Assisted Living & Memory Care, Strongly desired.
• Prior experience training & mentoring employees.
• A desire to continue learning and improving your skillset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Clinical Employee Schedule.
• Teach skill competency and clinical reasoning.
• Demonstrate the concepts of good patient care.
• Create a supportive and empowering learning environment.
• Document employees’ progress through testing and observation.
• Follow HIPAA and all other Edgewood policies.
• Maintain accurate resident records and file regulatory documents.
• Monitor and follow up on standing orders per regulatory guidelines.
• Protect medical record security and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist residents in scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Process orders and communicate urgent resident care needs to the RN.
