Job summary

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, WA is hiring a full-time Health Unit Coordinator to join the inpatient team, working three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends, 7 am – 7:30 pm. The role supports patient care through clerical, reception, and scheduling duties under an RN supervisor.

The incumbent maintains patient data in EPIC, handles communications, assists with appointments, ensures supplies, and upholds safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One year of administrative support in healthcare required, preferably in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Enters/transcribes orders into information system and on appropriate forms.
• Performs receptionist duties at the assigned station and handles communications.
• Updates and verifies patient data in the information system; maintains unit records.
