Job summary

Cura Health is seeking a dependable Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to support nursing operations with administrative and clerical tasks. You will help maintain resident records, process orders, schedule appointments, and assist with admissions and transfers in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and professional, capable of prioritizing multiple duties while ensuring clear communication among residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EHR systems.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, professional, and collaborative team member.
• Healthcare experience in admin/clerical roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical support to the nursing department.
• Maintain resident charts and nursing documentation accurately.
• Process physician orders and relay information to staff.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Schedule resident appointments and coordinate transportation.
• Answer phones and communicate professionally with residents, families, staff.
• Maintain nursing unit forms, records, and supplies.
• Support audits, reports, and other admin tasks for nursing leadership.
• Foster cross-department communication and resident confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Contribute to an organized, efficient nursing unit and operational tasks.
