Job Summary:
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff, and medical staff. Implements directions from the physicians and nursing staff. Handles clerical duties on nursing unit, including answering telephones, relaying messages, keeping records and directing visitors. May assist in patient care and order supplies.
Essential Job Functions:
Education Background and Experience Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent; Nursing Assistant Certified or EMT Certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
Required Licensure / Certification
Active Nursing Assistant Certified Washington license, OR EMT Certification.
Required Experience(Attested)
Nursing Assistant Certified experience or EMT experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year experience in an Emergency Department hospital preferred.
