Job summary

Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA is seeking a Health Unit Clerk/Patient Care Technician (PT) for 24 hours weekly, evenings. Under RN supervision, the PCT provides direct patient care, hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and assists with procedures.

Qualifications

• Level I: Preferred experience: PCT training or CNA training preferred.
• Level II: At least one year of patient care experience.
• Level III: High School diploma or GED.
• Level IV: 4+ years of acute or specialty care experience or one year as Level III PCT.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care to patients.
• Monitors vital signs and records measurements.
• Assists with hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Assists with phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen handling.
• Models professional communication and teamwork on the unit.
