Job summary

UnityPoint Health-Meriter in Wisconsin seeks a Health Unit Coordinator for the Birthing Center. The role supports patient care orders, serves as the unit receptionist, and coordinates communication among nursing staff, physicians, departments, patients and families.

You will help maintain supplies, request service for equipment, and participate in orientation. A high school diploma is required; Notary Public may be obtained after hire. Join a team committed to exceptional care.

Shift:Monday-Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM with every other weekend and holiday rotation

The primary function of the Health Unit Coordinator-Birthing Center is interpretation, transcription and assistance in the implementation of orders for all aspects of patient care. The Health Unit Coordinator serves as the primary receptionist for the nursing unit and coordinates communication among nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients and families. In addition, the Health Unit Coordinator maintains adequate supplies for the nursing unit and may request service for the maintenance of unit equipment.
