Job summary

UnityPoint Health on-site in Madison, WI seeks a Health Unit Assistant (HUA) to provide essential administrative and clerical support on the health unit. You will serve as a central contact for staff, patients, and families, assisting with patient flow and unit activities to ensure smooth operations.

We offer a competitive benefits package and a 0.6 FTE schedule with a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shift and weekend/holiday rotation, with compensation starting at $18.32+ per hour.

The Health Unit Assistant (HUA) provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The HUA serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families, and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow, and assisting with unit activities.
