Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems in the United States to drive sales and market growth within major health systems, IDNs, and organized customers. The role collaborates with RADs, Area General Managers, and cross-functional teams to execute strategy and meet sales goals.

The position requires deep healthcare system knowledge, formulary and pathway experience, and strong leadership and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Experience working with hospitals, health systems, IDNs, and organized customers.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales with direct experience in hospitals/health systems in an account management capacity; cardiovascular products experience preferred.
• Proven record of success in formulary and pathway adoption within health systems or hospital environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Successful collaboration across field and home office teams.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Travel 25–50% regionally; willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within assigned health systems and hospital networks.
• Identify key opportunities with RADs to grow product adoption and win new business in health systems.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
• Pull through national advocacy initiatives within health systems and hospital networks.
• Provide direction to RADs to achieve sales objectives; coach performance.
• Organize training sessions with Learning and Development on products and account management.
