Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems to drive sales and market growth within major health systems across the USA. You will work with regional and field leaders to execute strategies, manage hospital networks and IDNs, and lead teams to achieve targets.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma sales to health systems, expertise in formulary adoption, and strong communication and leadership abilities. Travel 25–50% regionally with national travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
Experience working with hospitals, health systems, IDNs, and organized customers.
Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales in hospitals/health systems with account management.
Proven track record in formulary and pathway adoption in health systems/hospitals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Successful collaboration across field and home office teams.
Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
Willingness to travel 25–50% regionally; travel nationally as required.

Responsibilities

Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within national health systems and hospital networks.
Identify key opportunities to grow product adoption with RADs and win new business in health systems.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
Engage in business development activities, including conferences and meetings with healthcare stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of customer strategies.
Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and refine strategies.
