Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) seeks to build its external grant portfolio in clinical effectiveness and health system value research. The role develops funding across diverse sources and uses KP data sources to support health system innovation and equity.

Teaching and mentorship of students are also integral components. The ideal candidate has MD/PhD or comparable doctoral training with a track record in health services research and strong collaborative leadership

Qualifications

Demonstrated health-related research experience in clinical or health services research.
Proven ability to obtain funding from diverse sources (NIH, PCORI, foundations, industry).
First and senior author publications in clinical medicine, population health, or health care research.

Responsibilities

Expand externally funded research in clinical effectiveness, value, access to care, or health system delivery.
Collaborate with current faculty to grow external funding.
Partner with health system leaders to address priorities using diverse research methods.
Engage in scholarly activities including AI/ML, genomics, health informatics, and implementation science.
Mentor students and contribute to teaching and research mentorship.
