Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic and operational leadership across talent management, HR systems, and workforce analytics.

You will partner with executive HR leadership to develop and implement programs that support institutional priorities and long-term workforce capability. The role focuses on talent acquisition, workforce planning, development, engagement, and operational excellence, driving data-informed

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in human resources, business operations, or related field.
• Five or more years of leadership experience with or without direct reports, including at least two years of formal supervisory experience.
• Five or more years experience in managing talent management processes (e.g. talent acquisition, performance evaluations, organizational development, succession planning).
• Two years experience developing and implementing employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Two years experience in organizational effectiveness (change management, organization design, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute human resources, talent acquisition and management strategies.
• Partner with leaders to assess workforce needs and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on workforce strategy, organizational design, and leadership development.
• Direct talent management programs including acquisition, workforce planning, succession, performance management, and retention.
• Lead organizational development and change management initiatives to enhance capability and engagement.
• Oversee learning and development programs aligned with workforce planning objectives.
• Identify gaps with HR partners and implement targeted solutions.
• Direct design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and systems.
• Provide day-to-day HR operations leadership with a focus on compliance and exemplary service.
• Oversee workforce analytics, dashboards, and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Lead continuous improvement to HR operations and organizational performance.
• Direct organizational design and workforce transition initiatives to align with strategy.
• Lead, develop, and mentor HR staff through recruitment, performance management, and coaching.
• Represent HR on institutional committees and cross-functional initiatives.
