UVA Health is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations for the University of Virginia Medical Center and UVA Community Health, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting. The role oversees the consolidation of multiple entities, manages budgeting, and supports capital decisions across a multi-hospital system.

As a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Controller will drive process improvements, lead a high-performing team, and guide financial transformation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• CPA designation or eligibility preferred.
• Experience leading accounting in a large complex organization, preferably health system.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting policies and close processes for UVA Health and affiliates.
• Lead the consolidated financial reporting and internal controls framework.
• Direct budget preparation, forecasting, and capital investments analysis.
• Partner with executives to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives.
