Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospitals is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting, payroll, and payables for the organization and its affiliates in Virginia. You will guide a cross-functional accounting team, coordinate audits, and prepare management reports and board materials.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years healthcare accounting experience. Strong GAAP knowledge and Oracle proficiency are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
• Healthcare accounting experience of 3+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs financial reporting, accounting, payroll, and accounts payable for the organization and subsidiaries.
• Directs accounting staff in preparation and distribution of timely financial statements.
• Oversees accounts payable and payroll activities with strong internal controls.
• Coordinates external audits and Uniform Guidance audits.
• Leads a cross-functional accounting team and develops financial reports.
• Prepares board materials and footnotes for financial statements.
