Job summary

Aon plc in Houston seeks an experienced Health Solutions Assistant Vice President or Vice President to oversee financial activities for assigned clients. This role includes preparing monthly or quarterly reporting packages and guiding input for various financial models.

Ideal candidates will have extensive health and benefits underwriting experience, expertise in self-insured vs. fully insured funding, and advanced Microsoft Office skills for analytical work and client communications.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years health and benefits underwriting experience.
• Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements.
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, modeling).

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all financial activities for assigned clients.
• Prepare monthly or quarterly financial reporting packages for clients, leveraging templates.
• Assist in input for financial models (IBNR, Actuarial Value Plan, Pricing).
• Analyze ad hoc data with advanced Excel functions and communicate findings to internal clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc projects (health care reform impact modeling, plan changes, self-funded vs. fully insured analysis).
• Develop executive summaries on key financial components and provide recommendations.
• Review caveats and notes in proposals; add notes to client RFP presentations.
• Review renewal calculations for medical, dental, vision, life and disability; identify negotiation opportunities.
