Job summary

Aon is seeking a Health Solutions AVP/VP, Financial Manager in Houston with 8+ years in health and benefits underwriting, preferably in consulting. You will manage financial activities for assigned clients, prepare reports, and support actuarial and pricing models.

The role requires strong Excel skills, self-insured and fully insured funding knowledge, and close collaboration with client teams. The position offers a hybrid work setup in Houston with occasional travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements.
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all financial activities for assigned clients.
• Prepare regular monthly or quarterly financial reporting packages leveraging templates.
• Assist in collecting inputs for models such as IBNR, Actuarial Value Plan, and Pricing Models.
• Analyze ad hoc data using Excel and present findings to internal teams and clients.
• Lead ad-hoc projects including Health Care Reform impact modeling and plan comparisons.
• Develop executive summaries of key financial components and provide recommendations.
• Review caveats, deviations, and notes in proposals and client presentations.
• Review insurance renewal calculations and identify negotiation opportunities
