Job summary

Newton Presbyterian Manor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the PMMA team and provide direct nursing care to residents.

You will supervise nursing assistants and ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards, creating a home-like environment for residents.

Starting pay is $29.00 per hour with weekend differential under our PREMIUM PAY PLAN; additional pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Current LPN license in this state.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and practices.
• Geriatric nursing experience is a plus.
• IV certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community and as may be required by the department director or supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained. Reflects the value that the resident comes first. This employee values the Community as the residents' home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care.

Education, Experience And/or Training

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN Program


• Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state


• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care


• Previous geriatric nursing/long-term care experience is a plus


• I.V. Certification is a plus
