Google is seeking a senior leader to manage health sensing hardware for its wearable devices. You will guide sensor systems from concept through mass production, collaborating with algorithm and software teams to optimize SNR for ML-driven insights.
The role requires deep domain expertise in health sensing hardware, strong leadership, and the ability to drive next-generation sensor architectures with rigorous testing and design practices.
The Google consumer hardware Technical Engineering Sensing Team is responsible for sensor technologies within all of our consumer devices (phone/watch/buds/home/tracker), including both hardware and algorithm development, representing an array of technologies such as inertial, magnetometer, barometer, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Photoplethysmogram (PPG), haptics, touch, fingerprint, and others. We maintain year-over-year performance of the sensors in our devices, along with developing innovative, never-before-seen technologies in the sensing space. Given the importance of sensors in understanding and feeding user context into the ML/AI/LLM, this is an incredibly exciting and dynamic space.
In this role, you will be managing the health sensing technologies and roadmap for Google wearable products. You will be responsible for designing the electrical systems of health sensing, modeling and evaluating simulation results, conducting human level testing and working with the algorithm team to deliver the optimal solution.
