Job summary

Samuel Merritt University in the United States seeks a librarian to coordinate teaching, training, and development of tutorials for stakeholders, and to promote high-quality open educational resources within the health sciences curriculum and research.

You will work with the Director and a team to deliver information literacy tutorials, provide reference and outreach services, support curriculum design, and participate in strategic planning and university-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Two full academic years of professional librarian experience in an academic or health science library.
• Experience with information literacy initiatives and instructional technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate teaching and training within the department and across campuses.
• Instruct via classroom, distance education, and standalone sessions.
• Develop and maintain instructional materials using diverse technologies and assess impact.
• Provide research guidance to students and faculty, including outreach and open educational resources initiatives.
