Samuel Merritt University is seeking a faculty member in the College of Nursing to join a mission-driven team in Sacramento, CA. The role emphasizes teaching, scholarship, and service with a total workload of 1872 hours per year (1320 teaching, 452 scholarship, and 100 service hours) and a pay range up to $130,000 per year.

The incumbent will lead classroom and clinical instruction, contribute to scholarly activities, and participate in university, college, and community service while supporting

Qualifications

• Earned master’s in nursing required, doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferred.
• Teaching experience of diverse students at the baccalaureate or higher degree level, preferred.
• Rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Unencumbered California registered nurse license or eligible for licensure in California
• Experience working with leadership in healthcare and academic institutions and community organizations, preferred
• Must be qualified to teach relevant coursework in accordance with California BRN requirements

Responsabilités

• Teaching: create learner-centered environment using diverse methods and evidence-based practices.
• Scholarship: design and implement scholarly activities and engage in dissemination.
• Service: participate in faculty and university committees and community service.
• Supervise clinical rotations and assess student progress.
• Notify Course Manager of at-risk students and unusual occurrences.
