Job summary

Temple University's Health Sciences Campus (HSC) is seeking a Director of Maintenance and Operations to lead Facilities Management, overseeing regulatory compliance and the safe, reliable operation of steam, chilled water, electrical and building systems.

You will direct a team of managers and supervisors across trades, ensure readiness for inspections, and collaborate with Hospital and University stakeholders to maintain excellent environments for patients, students, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum eight years of healthcare facility experience.
• Regulatory compliance experience with Joint Commission, CMS, DOH.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance and preservation of physical plant and grounds.
• Oversee mechanical and building trades including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire/security.
• Ensure systems operate in compliance with codes and regulations.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of buildings and utility systems.
• Collaborate with safety, regulatory, and hospital personnel; liaison with agencies.
