The University of Iowa Center for Advancement (UICA) seeks a seasoned fundraising executive to serve as Assistant Vice President of Development for Health Sciences. This leadership role advances philanthropy across UI Health Care, oversees Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Health Care Philanthropy teams, and partners with the clinical enterprise CEO.

The AVP will manage a major gifts portfolio, lead a high-performing team, and shape strategy with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any major.
• 10+ years of development/fundraising experience, including management.
• Advanced degree preferred in a healthcare or academic setting.
• Experience leading teams and cultivating major gifts.

Responsabilités

• Leads philanthropy strategy for health sciences and oversees major gift activity.
• Manages portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and builds donor relationships.
