The University of Miami/UHealth, Division of Development and Alumni Relations, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Development to lead fundraising programs and strategic planning for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, FL. This senior role collaborates with the VP for Medical Development and Alumni Relations and the Cancer Center Director to drive major gift initiatives and donor engagement.

The role oversees a team and coordinates across departments to implement fundraising

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of major/principal gift fundraising and fundraising management experience.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills are necessary for senior management leadership in fundraising.
Teamwork-oriented approach and proven ability to manage people in a positive, constructive environment.

Serve on Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cabinet to elevate funding priorities through major and leadership philanthropic funding.
Lead development strategy and activities for the campaign and fiscal year.
Advise leadership on donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship using faculty and staff inputs.
Coordinate development activity across clinical departments and units within Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Oversee communications and stewardship plans for the Sylvester Board of Governors and donor relations.
