Job summary

The University of Iowa Center for Advancement in Iowa City seeks a strategic Vice President of Development to lead Main Campus fundraising. You will oversee principal and major gifts, align strategies with university priorities, and report to the Senior Vice President for Development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience in higher education, including management experience, required.
Demonstrated success leading complex fundraising operations and partnering with senior academic and administrative leaders.
Ability to translate institutional priorities into philanthropic opportunities and fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities

Provides strategic leadership and oversight for Main Campus fundraising programs.
Leads and develops a team of senior fundraising leaders.
Acts as chief development officer for the Office of the Provost and partners with university leadership.
Oversees strategic planning and philanthropic strategies across university priorities.
Collaborates with Data Analytics to strengthen fundraising capacity.
Champions change, alignment, and accountability across fundraising teams.
