Job summary

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) seeks adjunct faculty in Health Sciences to teach courses in the designated discipline. Instruction may be face-to-face, remote, or online and may total up to 12 credit hours in fall/spring and up to 8 in summer, with load based on enrollment and staffing needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the teaching field OR associate degree in the teaching field with demonstrated competencies.
Minimum of two years of full-time, related occupational experience; part-time experience converted to full-time equivalent.
Professional licensure and/or occupational certification as required for the field.

Responsibilities

Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
Adhere to NOVA and VCCS policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain current competence in the field of specialization.
