Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field. Coursework must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Prior experience teaching in higher education.
• Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats.
• Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
• Experience teaching students from diverse language backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to NOVA and VCCS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain current competence in the discipline or field of specialization.
